A unique form of Buddhism known as Vajrayana Buddhism has a significant influence on Bhutanese culture. This can be witnessed from daily attire of people and the stunning historical structures known as dzongs, which resemble forts and monasteries of the ancient era. Women wear long dresses called “Kira”, while males wear “Gho”, which are knee-length robes.

Gross National Happiness (GNH) is a major foundation to the growth of nation. As a result, Bhutanese people value their elders and have a strong sense of community. They think this is more significant than becoming wealthy or owning the newest gadgets. Everybody comes together to celebrate their heritage and way of life, which is about coexisting harmoniously with nature and one another, during festivals like the vibrant Tshechu. Bhutan is an excellent illustration of a nation that makes a concerted effort to preserve its ancient customs.
