On a clear day, the flight to Paro is one of the most spectacular of all mountain flights. You will see major Himalayan peaks. On the final approach to Paro international airport, you will see Bhutan’s own peaks such as Mt. Jhomolhari, Jichu Drake and Tsherimgang will come into view. Bhutan’s first gift to you as you disembark from the aircraft will be cool, clean mountain air outside the airport you will be received and welcomed by our company repre- sentative and will escort you to Thimphu the capital city of Bhutan. Upon reaching to Thimphu, you will check into hotel and fresh up. Later you will be escorted to town to witness the local market and interact with local people. Overnight Thimphu
After breakfast we will begin the sightseeing by first visiting the Largest Buddha statue in the country (one of the largest in the world). We will receive the blessing and then move towards our next destination Simply Bhutan where one can experience Bhutan’s unique culture and heritage. You will be welcomed by the in-house host with a traditional welcome drink Ara. Witness how a tradition- al house used to construct. Know a little bit of Lama Druk Kenley popularly known as Divine Mad man and how he played a role in Bhutan opening up to his madness and way of purifying one’s own mind. In the same place you can experience the national game of Bhutan the archery and music. And if you are into nature hike, our guide will escort you to one of the surrounding hills good for mountain by cycling route popularly used by our Royal Family. The route is an easy hike overlooking the city which will make 45 minutes one way without long stop over. The lunch will be organized next to the river source with some traditional game (Khuru) dart game. The location is perfect for yoga and meditation in the wild nature where one can totally submerge into wilderness or book a professional foot massager. If in a large group we can organize some professional yoga master. In the evening we will invite some professionals to give talk on Bhutan or Happiness in Bhutan. After lunch we will visit Paper Factory to witness how an authen- tic traditional paper are made and after which we will visit to Incense Factory to know more about its art work and how authen- tic we can experience the real heavenly smell. We will move towards the Textile Museum to witness some of the rare Bhuta- nese textile. TashichheDzong (Kings office). After the kings assumed power in 1907 this post was combined with the king and Thimphu severed as the summer capital of the kingdom before becoming the full-time capital of Bhutan. The Dzong has been seat of the Royal government since 1952. Then we will visit Centrinary Farmer´s Market the moment you enter, the sweet and sharp smell of fruits overpowers you. There are bright lights and colorful art installa- tions around. And the aroma of grilled meat and fried chicken from the food stall run by De-Sung trained under the De-sung Skilling Program. Overnight Thimphu.
Start the most scenic drive to Punakha from Thimphu over dochu- la pass which takes about two hours. After the break at Dochula, the road descends into Wangdue and Punakha taking us to one of the warmest places of Bhutan. Dochula Pass- The pass is at a popular location as it offers a stunning 180-degree panoramic view of the Great Himalayan Mountain ranges. The view is espe- cially scenic and very clear on winter days with snowcapped mountains forming a majestic backdrop to the tranquility of the 108 chortens gracing the mountain pass. Upon reaching Punakha we will have lunch near river side. Punakha is one of the must do adventure is river rafting where Mochu provides one with begin- ner experience and Phochu with more experience grade. Both the river has its own beauty. (Note- If you’re interested in River rafting, you can let our guide know so he can arrange for you) Afternoon visit to Chhimmy Lhakhang Temple, known as “Divine madman”, who did taught Buddhism by singing, drinking and rampant sexual behavior. It’s famous as “fertili- ty temple”, helping couples to get healthy and strong children! Get blessing by monk from the wooden phallus relic to guarantee healthy deliver of the children. Our next visit is Suspension Bridge - Punakha suspension bridge is consid- ered one of the longest of its kind in Bhutan. The bridge connects the dzong with the villages Shengana, Samdingkha and Wangkha on the other bank of the Po Chhu River. Visitors can stop here for a quick and authentic view of true Bhutan. The suspension bridge is only about 15 minutes’ walk from Punakha Dzong. Evening at leisure.
The road to Phobjikha passes through old town of Wangdue taking us through the black mountain region into Gangtey. The drive also passes through some of the most beautiful forests, water fall, hills, river, villages and Pelela pass before stepping into Phobjikha. Enjoy the most scenic and adventurous drive today with HBT. Khamsum Yulley to Punakha Dzong old route hike: If you are up for a combination of visits to the beautiful Khamsum Chorten, the old hilltop temple Giligang and Punakha Dzong, with the opportunity to experience stunning views of the valleys on both the Mo Chhu and Po Chhu side, this is an enjoyable yet challenging hike. Punakha Dzong: Built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the Dzong was named Druk Pungthang Dechen Phodrang (Palace of Great Happiness). Punakha is still the winter residence of Je-Khenpo religious head of Bhutan. King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck convened the first National Assembly here in 1952. This is one of the finest and must see Dzongs of Bhutan. Day 5 | PHOBJIKHA, Soak in nature. | Back to Paro (171km/4.5 Hrs) The Gangtey Nature Trail The Gangtey Nature Trail is a gentle two-hour trek that lets you soak up the remarkable Phobjikha Valley. Start- ing at the 17th century Gangtey Monastery, you’ll amble down a fairly flat terrain that ends at the bottom of the valley. En route, you’ll pass grass planes, farmhouses and dense pine forests before reaching a vast open space of the wide valley The Black Nacked Crane Centre The Center is situated on the edge of the forest and wetland along the main road of Phobjikha valley has an observation room equipped with high power telescope and spotting scopes for catching the best view of the cranes. Cranes in Bhutan are winter visitors during the late October to mid February. Star of the center is Karma, an injured black-necked crane who was discov- ered as an eight-month-old with a broken wing and now lives in a neighboring enclosure. Note- Since it’s a long drive back to Paro, you can stop at multiple points for pictures and stop over. Once you reach back to Paro, we can enjoy the city life and relax the whole evening. The Dzong stands inbetween meeting point of two rivers, Phochu and Mochu making the most photogenic Dzongs of Bhutan.From here we will head towards phobjekha. Upon reaching phobjekha we will visit. Gangtey Gompa: The temple built over hill top, headed by Gangtey Tulku the reincarnation of Pema Lingpa. Annual festi- val of Gangtey is performed in the temple courtyard every year. This is also the place for black necked crane’s festival held every year on 11-Nov, coinciding with His Majesty’s Fourth King’s Birthday. Overnight in Phobjikha, altitude 3000m.

We will visit Chelela pass(3988mts) the highest road point in Bhutan. Do some offerings as in Bhutan we considered moun- tains as palace of gods. From Chelela pass Himalaya Mt.Jomol- hari is clearly visible. Chelela use to be burial ground where Tibetan burial was being practice, where human flash offered to birds as offering. We will do pack lunch in mountains with nature. In the evening if we have time we can visit Taa Dzong National Museum- National Museum of Bhutan is a cultural museum in the town of Paro in western Bhutan. Established in 1968, it was renovated under the command of His Majesty, the King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the third hereditary Monarch of Bhutan. Today the National Museum has in its possession over 3,000 works of Bhutanese art, covering more than 1,500 years of Bhutan's cultural heritage. Its rich holdings of various creative traditions and disciplines, represent a remarkable blend of the past with the present and is a major attraction for local and foreign visitors. In the evening we will visit Paro town. Over- night at Paro.
After breakfast, excursion to Taktshang Monastery (approx. 5 hours round trip walk). It is one of the most famous of Bhutan's monasteries, perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery and hence it is called 'Tiger's Nest'. This site has been recognized as a most sacred place and visited by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1646 and now visited by all Bhutanese at least once in their lifetime. Dress in Gho and Kira for photo shoot- Bhutan´s traditional dress is one of the most distinctive and visible aspects of the country. Today, you can try the national costume and take beau- tiful pictures. After a long hike to tigers’ nest and a week-long trip, your body needs some kind of rejoice and the best way is by doing a relax- ation traditional hot stone bath which contains natural minerals
