Daywise Itinerary

On a clear day, the flight to Paro is one of the most spectacular of all mountain flights. You will see major Himalayan peaks. On the final approach to Paro international airport, you will see Bhutan’s own peaks such as Mt. Jhomolhari, Jichu Drake and Tsherimgang will come into view. Bhutan’s first gift to you as you disembark from the aircraft will be cool, clean mountain air. Outside the airport you will be received and welcomed by our company representative and will escort you to Thimphu the capi-
tal city of Bhutan. Upon reaching to Thimphu, you will check into hotel and fresh up. Later you will be escorted to town to witness the local market and interact with local people.

oday we will enjoy a full-day sightseeing around the capital of Bhutan, Thimphu, to visit the following sites. 1) Kuenselphodrang or the Buddha point The world’s largest sitting Buddha statue. The statue is 177 feet  high. The statue is situated on top of a hill overlooking the city of Thimphu, it can be accessed by road and is about 15 minutes away from the city center. The word Kuensel means everything is clear and from this place you will sure enjoy a great view of the Thimphu valley on both sides 2) Simply Bhutan SImply Bhutan is an interactive 'living' museum that gives a quick introduction to various aspects of traditional life in Bhutan. Visitors are greeted with a shot of local Arra (rice spirit), before being guided through mocked-up village scenes. Along the way, you can dress up in traditional clothes, try out  rchery and hear songs sung by Bhutanese women as they build houses out of rammed earth. It's touristy, but a good family experience. 3) National Textile Museum
It is an amazing museum that keeps the traditional art of wavingpreserved and exhibits a good collection of ancient colored textile  in various forms. You can find how the exquisite exhibits are waved by locals giving a spot operation with intricate tools. 4) Traditional Paper Making Factory Originating from the old tradition in the 8th century, Bhutan papermaking has been well preserved and listed as the valuable national heritage of Bhutanese culture. 5) TashichheDzong (Kings office) After the kings assumed power in 1907 this post was combined with the king and Thimphu severed as the summer capital of the kingdom before becoming the full-time capital of Bhutan. The Dzong has been seat of the Royal government since 1952. 6) Centrinary new Farmers Market The moment you enter, the sweet and sharp smell of ruits over-powers you. There are bright lights and colourful art installations around. And the aroma of grilled meat and fried chicken from the food stall run by De-ssups trained under the De-suung Skilling Programme. After breakfast we will drive to Punakha, on the way we will visit- Dochu la Pass Dochula pass is located on the way to Punakha from Thimphu. The pass is a popular location among tourists as it offers a stunning 360 degree panoramic view of the Himalayan mountain range. The view is especially scenic on clear, winter days with snowcapped mountains forming a majestic backdrop to the tranquility of the 108 chortens gracing the mountain pass. Bhutanese families enjoy visiting the pass during holidays and weekends to picnic and simply enjoy the scenery. It is common to see families and groups of friends seated amongst the chortens, enjoying a packed lunch and hot tea. For tourists this is an ideal location to capture beautiful pictures of the Himalayan mountain range during clear, warm days. Chimi Lhakhang (The Fertility Temple) The sacred Chimi Lhakhang, known as the Fertility Temple, is a revered place of magic and miracles. Blessed by the eccentric maverick yogi and saint Drukpa Kunley, known as the ‘Divine Madman’ and father of fertility, he had very unconventional ways of teaching and this Buddhist monas- tery is said to be a place of fertility and blessings. Those unable to fall pregnant and childless couples make the devout pilgrimage here in the hope that they will be honoured with a wang or a blessing from a Buddhist monk and his ‘magic thunderbolt of wisdom’. Woman who enter the temple who are hoping to conceive are made to carry a wooden phallus around the temple three times. Punakha dzong Punakha Dzongkhag has been inextricably linked with momentous occasions in Bhutanese history. It served as the capital of the country from 1637 to 1907 and the first national assembly was hosted here in 1953. Punakha Dzong is not only the second oldest. Suspension Bridge Crossing a meandering mountain stream on an age old suspension bridge dangling in the midair can be an adven- turous task for some folks and if you want to experience the thrill of walking on those ancient bridges, Punakha valley’s suspension bridge is the right spot for you. Located near the iconic  ungthang Dechen Phodrang Dzong, Punakha Suspension Bridge is one of the longest and oldest suspen- sion bridges of the scenically blessed kingdom, Bhutan built above Po Chhu River. It takes almost 2 hrs long drive to reach from Phobjikha among the very scenic beauty of Bhutan. Wangdue Phodrang is a quaint town with no hustle bustle in west of Bhutan. Bhutan has a distinct culture, cuisine and age old rich history which can be observed if you spend some quality time in Wangdue Phodrang. There are many nearby pristine villages that can be visited for its virgin beauty. Wangdue Phodrang is a small town where you can find some wonderful valleys that can be explored during the Bhutan Tour Package for 8 Nights 9 Days. With the sun craving its way down while illuminating the gorgeous Wangdue, begin the day with some hearty breakfast and start the spectacular journey towards the magnificent Haa Valley. To travel Haa valley from Wangdue, it takes almost 7 hrs long journey. Though we will take several break during the transfer, but the journey is beautiful and enjoyable. So, post breakfast let's proceed towards the gateway to mini heaven aka the spectacu- lar Chela-La-Pass, which is barely 30 km away from the quaint Haa Valley, and well known for being the highest motorable pass in Bhutan, that offers a panoramic view of Bhutan’s second-highest sacred peak, Mt. Jomolhari (7,314m) and other snow-clad ranges on a clear day. The journey through the wind- ing roads is very charming as the green valleys, chirping birds, snowy mountains, and the fantastic view on both sides are sure to keep everyone glued, and the breathtaking scenery keeps you going. After 1hour 30 minutes, enter the picturesque Paro town, located at an elevation of 2,200 m. Paro valley is the most extensive valley in entire Bhutan and is blessed with mesmeriz- ing nature, fertile rice fields, deep valleys, and a crystalline river. Post Lunch enjoy Paro Sightseeing - National Museum of Bhutan : In 1968, The National Museum of Bhutan was built, which stands inside the ancient Ta-dzong building that showcases Bhutan culture and is stationed right above Rinpung Dzong in Paro. This museum is the house of beautiful specimens from Bhutanese art and culture, with main highlights are the paintings and bronze statues which are placed in extensive galleries, from where you can get to know a lot about Bhutan art and culture. The Paro town is full of Dzongs (monasteries), where you can join the monks for prayers as they wrap themselves in red robes with priceless smiles or walk down to the bed of Paro Chu and dip your feet in the cold crystalline water. After breakfast, excursion to Taktshang Monastery (approx. 5 hours round trip walk). It is one of the most famous of Bhutan's monasteries, perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery and hence it is called 'Tiger's Nest'. This site has been recognized as a most sacred place and visited by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1646 and now visited by all Bhutanese at least once in their lifetime. Dress in Gho and Kira for photo shoot- Bhutan´s traditional dress is one of the most distinctive and visible aspects of the country. Today, you can try the national costume and take beau- tiful pictures. After a long hike to tigers’ nest and a week-long trip, your body needs some kind of rejoice and the best way is by doing a relaxation traditional hot stone bath which contains natural minerals and medicinal herbs for our body.
